According to legend, Guanyin vowed to bring comfort and salvation to all beings who suffer. Whenever someone calls her name with sincerity, she hears their voice and offers compassion and guidance. Over centuries, she has become a symbol of mercy, kindness, and unconditional love.
In Chinese art, Guanyin is often portrayed in serene meditation or standing gracefully by the sea, symbolizing purity, wisdom, and peace.
